Theranostics enables precision oncology
Theranostics (i.e., “therapy + diagnostics”) is an innovative approach that, for personalized cancer care, involves the use of molecular imaging (e.g., PET/CT and SPECT/CT) and radiopharmaceuticals to tailor treatments to an individual patient. It involves the combination of one diagnostic radioactive drug to "see" the disease and a second therapeutic radioactive drug to deliver therapy to "treat" the disease.
